New posts coming soon...

I haven't forgotten about this blog, but life has been quite unsettled lately, so while work on the project continues, blogging has taken a back seat for a bit.

Two major parts of the project are underway simultaneously: Paint & Body work, and the engine rebuild.

Here's a few pics to hold over my legions of devoted fans...

The 289 V8, ready for teardown.

Nasty water pump surprises...

Spun bearings on the crankshaft...

A freshly cleaned and bored block...

A ticket to ride...

At the body shop (finally!)...

Stripped to bare metal...

 Stay tuned!

Looking good! Are you going to skim coat it and sand across the body gaps or just prime/paint? Thanks for updating! Looking forward to the rest of this build.

So, how much longer do think this "little" project will last? Or is this the one that followed you home and said, quite politely:
"Will you keep me?" Hope to see you and Bonnie soon!

The quarter panel got a skim coat and then polyester primer and block sanded. I have a pic of the amount of filler that was on before the high-build primer went on I can post up. It was a very small amount, less than I was expecting, which was all the proof I needed to show that this method can work.

Hey, Patti! This is no longer a project, it's a lifestyle. It will approach, but never actually reach, completion ;)
